it's been awhile

wow, i can't believe it's been 11 days since i last posted. i have been busy making christmas gifts for family. i'm making a scrapbook for my mom using these wonderful old photos that her father took. here are the first 4 pages:

not to worry, she won't see these because she doesn't even own a computer.
but i can't post what i am making for my sisters because i know jodi follows my blog. hey sis! lol!

last week jd and i helped with packing meals for haiti at our church. sunday they announced how many were actually packed and the grand total came to. 1,850,000 plus meals. whew!!! Jesus is awesome!! here are some pics.

here is jd. to me he even looks handsome in this silly hat. girls had to wear a hair net. so you'll not be seeing any pics of me.lol!

memory lane

as most of you all know, many of the scrapbook pages i make, i send to my son jake, who is away at school. each week i send him some new ones and at least one old one. i love looking at the older ones because of all the awesome memories that come flooding back. it reminds me of why we do this whole scrapbooking thing.
so today i want to post some of my favorite older pages.

this one is my all time fave and probably always will be because it shows my son's personality. he lives out loud and it is one of the many things i love about him. i also loved these bam pop papers!

here is another using the bam pop papers and stamps. ( such a cool name, bam pop. i just love saying those words. lol!)

this one says, be careful out there my beloved son. and the the scripture that is up in the cloud is 1Peter 5:8 which says:
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith...

i am beyond beyond

and even beyond that! ; ) i am so very thrilled and excited to have been chosen as the super grand prize winner of jbs mercantile's scrapfest!! which means i will be the janurary guest designer for the jbs mercantile kit club. how cool is that! it is no secret that jenni is my all time fave manufacturer. so to be able to be a guest for the kit club and design with her products is such an honor! thank you so much to the design team for awarding me this incredible prize!
